A British Au Pair’s ramblings on Parisian living, music, faith, culture and everything in between.
About
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog, I hope you enjoy my ramblings as they appear one by one.
This blog will contain my day to day thoughts, my adventures in Paris, occasional reviews of events/gigs/places and every now and again some theological ponderings.
I’ll start out by introducing myself!
Nice to meet you, I’m Jade.
I am currently an Au Pair in Paris looking after two wonderful kids after what can only be described as a whirlwind of a year after being diagnosed with The Big D. (Depression). But more on that later…
I’ve spent the last 4 years studying/drinking/thinking/performing at the University of Hull and I have a BA Hons in Drama and Theatre Practice (no, I do not want to be an actress…).
During my time at University I also became a Christian and gave my life to Jesus which was the best decision I’ve ever made. I am passionate about children knowing God and growing up to live in his love, as well as worship and reaching ex-offenders and the underprivileged with the gospel. I’ll be sure to write a post about my testimony in the coming weeks.
I’m a gradually transitioning vegan. Yes, that does basically mean that I have no self control when it come to ice cream and chocolate.
BUT you’ve got to give a girl credit for trying, right?!
In a nut shell, I love Jesus, people, gin, pop punk music, jazz music, the theatre, reading, tattoos and working with children. I also have a curious nature and Paris is full of interesting things, so who knows what I’ll end up writing about!
I hope that wasn’t too long winded and you now have a gist of what to expect from this here blog I am now running. I’ll also be keeping my submissions open so please feel free to interact with me!
See you again soon,
Jade x
